Admin panel designed to boost admins' efficiency
Crypto Trading Bot Product
Overview
Sami bot is a crypto trading bot that helps users achieve more profit by adding a trading bot to their wallet on their behalf.
A crypto trading bot was manually managed by its creators for almost a year. User and bot management were difficult and inefficient.
We achieve success by
Designing an Internal panel to make administrators' lives easier in terms of controlling the workload.

User interface design
Tools
Figma, FigJam, Google meetAs I didn't know about trading. I started educating myself by examining exchange platforms and watching professional traders on YouTube.
After understanding everything about business and its constraints, I have to learn the real problems system admins were facing.
I interviewed administrators to determine their needs, problems, and issues with the product.
Users here are the Dashboard Admins. Here I will discuss one of the admin tasks, which is monitoring Crypto traders transaction history to decide early on an open orders.
▪ As an admin, I need to check Crypto traders' transactions history to control the trading bot's performance.
▪ As an admin, I need to filter transactions by date to find specific transactions quickly.
▪ As an admin, I must distinguish open and closed orders because I must take different actions for each.
Control user account status task flow
I prioritized problems we wanted to solve with admins. We met several times to design the dashboard site map and panel information architecture.
Visualize and show vital data
System administrators must check current and previous wallet balances and PNL to avoid losses and boost earnings. Each trading strategy's wallet balance, cryptocurrency types, and history were highlighted.
This information helped quickly scan, analyze, and make decisions.
Recommended
Provides current wallet balance data for user control.
Cons:
Implementing the gauge meter was harder.
Too much text makes finding information difficult.
No previous wallet history for comparison.
✅Selected one
Provides current wallet balance plus history for user control.
Pros:
Highlight important data like PNL by coloring and enlarging it.
Data are grouped so users find them better.
Line charts show changes over time better.
Date input
System admins need to sort results by date or duration or insert users' birthdays for marketing incentives. I designed two date pickers.
Calendars let admins select durations.
3 dropdowns (day, month, and year) for selecting a birth date.
Recommended
Calender to select the birth date
Cons:
Administrators said moving between calendar month, day, and year was confusing.
Selecting the button is required. What if they forget ?
✅ Selected one
Day, month, and year dropdowns to select the birth date
Pros:
Administrators needed something simple. It's quicker and easier to choose and doesn't confuse system administrators.
Filters to empower admins
Interview results showed finding user records frustrates them so we want to speed up important admin console tasks.
System admins have 1,000+ users. Search and filters narrow down, and the table view provides enough info to identify the right user.

Make data scannable and noticeable
Organizing bot tactics into two core categories—Manual and Automated—and two minor categories—Futures and Spots—helps admins find the right plan quickly.
Narrow down table results
Table header drop-down lists, which give administrators the ability to switch between available options and enable configuration of what appears in the column.
Prevent mistakes
Users' bots must be turned off when not working properly. To avoid mistakenly turning off the wrong bot, We provide important variables to consider while turning off the bot.
Create a dashboard that's clear and effective
what information admin primarily trying to get across and how effectively those important elements stand out.
The most important metric should go in the top left corner where the eyes go first
Grouping related metrics logically helps teams find what they need at a glance. (All, biggest profit, biggest loss)
Give numbers in a chart a frame of reference
I conducted a qualitative usability test to evaluate my design decisions' success and interface ease of use.
I wrote scenarios for the tasks admins must complete using the platform successfully.
There were 8 tasks,
Task success rate
Create an account for a client with the given details. - 5/5
Check the user's open positions and close the position of ADAUSDT. - 5/5
Check what cryptocurrencies the user with the ID name Mahshidata has. - 5/5
Edit the password for the user with the ID name Mahshidata to 456@mnuy - 5/5
Turn off the manual spot bot strategy "BTC/USDT buy". - 3/5
Edit the manual spot bot strategy "BTC/USDT buy" to sell. - 5/5
Check if the user with the ID name Ali3456 is active. - 5/5
How many users do we have currently? - 5/5

During the test, administrators often looked at other data on the table to determine if the strategy was active. After ideation, I chose a text button over an icon for clarity.
After incorporating usability test insights to the designs, I discussed design changes with engineering team while shaping the solutions and developed the final screen flow for handoff.
Be analytical and able to gather insights from data and understand how to use data to inform design decisions
Be a holistic thinker so I can zoom out to not lose focus of the bigger picture.
